The Fieris | 06.14.2011 | Family Portrait Session

I ran track and cross country with Karen in high school, and she’s been a longtime supporter of Feng Images…also before we even became Feng Images. She and her husband, Anthony, are still diggin’ each other like newlyweds after years of marriage, and they’re also tremendous parents to their fun-loving and adventurous kids, Alexis and Wyatt. They asked if we could have their session at Live Oak Park near their home in Fallbrook, and I jumped at the opportunity to shoot in a setting familiar to them. It was a blessing and a privilege to hang out with them for the evening – it is always humbling and encouraging to watch good parenting in action.

I was particularly struck during our session at how well-behaved and happy Alexis and Wyatt were. Whenever Karen and Anthony decide to host their first parenting seminar, Carolyn and I will be the first in line. I hope Jediah and Ellie are as amazing as these two kids are.  They totally love their parents as much as their parents love them.

Part of the appeal of Live Oak Park isn’t just the amazing oaks, but creeks full of crawdads running through the park.  As the kids prepared to go fishing for crawdads, I was able to pull Karen and Anthony away for a few shots of just the two of them.

One word.

Supermodels.
