Annie & Evan | 08.03.2011 | E-Session

Annie & Evan met 8 years ago at bible college, but it was Facebook that finally brought the two together this past year. They’re wedding photographers in their own right, so shooting them was…how should I put this…SO. MUCH. FUN.  They’re getting married later today, 8/20, so I figured what better way to welcome them into their new adventure than by posting their e-session!

With summer finally arriving in Seattle, we headed out to Discovery Park on a weekday evening for their shoot. Since they’re usually behind the camera, they said they were a bit nervous to be on the other side of the lens, but they absolutely rocked it. They’ve committed to saving their first kiss until their wedding day, so their eager anticipation made for some awesome shots and LOTS of laughter…and a ridiculously fun time.

Evan also brought an old-school Yashica film camera, which I went googly-eyed over.  I probably would’ve shot their entire e-session through the viewfinder if I didn’t remind myself to practice some self-control.  The picture quality and colors were absolutely breathtaking.

We stumbled on a patch of sweet peas as well, and Evan explained to Annie that the flowers tasted exactly like peas. Annie and I both tried ’em, and I was pretty impressed with how the pea flavor really came through a few seconds into chewing…but Annie wasn’t buyin’ it.  So, instead of continuing to graze amongst the greenery, I thought it’d be a better idea to get back to shooting.

We ended the evening with an absolutely breathtaking sunset.  A marine layer had rolled in earlier so I didn’t think we’d get anything like this, but the sky totally ended up looking like different hues of cotton candy. A perfect ending to an amazing session.  Looking forward to your wedding later today, Annie & Evan!
